02 Pre-Sales Architect




The Presales Architect is a technical thought leader supporting products and solution sales lead by the Sales team. He/she works closely with internal stakeholders to review customer needs and leads coordinate product/solution/ business architecture offerings to support members of the sales team. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, customer centric focus and the ability to work in a fast paced environment is required. 

Tecnical tasks:

  • Lead technical sales process and coordinate deliverables with internal stakeholders (Division Managers, Project Manager and Solution Architects as appropriate).

  • Serve as the Technical/ Business advisor, address technical/ business related questions that arise throughout the sales process, and build a strong trusted relationship with accounts. Gather business and system requirements from client, or assist client to define requirements and suggest ideas.

  • Serve as the Technical Lead or Business Analysis to support execution presales assessments (workshop based) to develop and recommend compelling solutions.

  • Create SRS (System Requirement Spec), GBR (General Business Rules), Feature List, Use Case list and Use Case detail in case needed.

  • Support Sales to create and deliver customer-facing presentations covering products, business architecture and solution architecture. Manage BA team during analysis phase including estimation & planning, monitor & control the project status; communicate with onshore and client for all project related manner.

    • Conduct Proof of Concepts (POC) and demonstrations for products and offerings.

    • Develop the technical and pricing proposals to supply this service solution and validate delivery service meets customer expectations.

      • Identify possible risks throughout the process and properly communicate to related superiors for solutions.

Education background:

  • Bachelor degree in IT or Technology is preferred, Master degree is a plus.

Essential skills/experience:

  • E-commerce knowhow.

  • At least 8 years of working experience of which 5 year in analyzing requirements.

  • Knowledge of testing approaches and techniques.

  • General understanding and experience of business processes as well as an interest to understand a broad range of business models and needs.

  • Excellent skills in writing proposals spanning business and technology domains. Specific business domain knowledge is a plus (e-commerce, banking, content management, rebate claim, health care etc).

  • In-depth knowledge of the software project development life cycle, process and methodology.

  • Thorough understanding of at least one key Commerce System or Content Management System (Episerver, Sitecore, Magento, Adobe, etc.) and broad understanding of other technologies relevant to related role and assigned responsibilities.

    • Excellent in solution designs, able to make sound decisions to compromise or balance various requirement inputs or other factors that affect a software system.

    • Keen learner with the ability to quickly understand the architecture of new and emerging technologies and objectively challenge the solutions proposed by the delivery team.

    • Experience in communicating complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
