In a heartwarming act of kindness, Niteco’s employee-run charity organization NICEF has once again shown its dedication to the community by donating 11,500,000 VND (~500$) to a group of 12 schools in Pha Don in the Vietnamese province of Son La.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, holds significant cultural importance in many Asian countries, including Vietnam. It is a time when families and communities come together to celebrate the harvest season and give thanks. Traditionally, children participate in lantern parades, enjoy mooncakes, and engage in festive activities. However, for some children in Pha Don, such celebrations are often limited due to financial constraints.
This generous contribution aims to ensure that underprivileged children in the area can celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival just like other children. The money will be used to purchase lanterns, decorations, mooncakes, and other essential items. Building upon NICEF's previous involvement in the construction of these schools in 2022 with total donations of 85,000,000 VND (~3,500$), this initiative underscores our commitment to fostering happiness and educational opportunities for the community.
NICEF's donation is a testament to our commitment to supporting less fortunate children and their families. In the past, NICEF has supported large numbers of children suffering from cleft lip and other conditions and has participated in school projects around Vietnam.
Let's take a look at some photos of the event sent by the teachers :D
