Episerver is set to launch a new component for its personalization offerings, the company announced during its much talked-about Ascend event in Las Vegas. In a press release, the CMS/Commerce platform provider revealed Episerver Advance - a new tool to help marketers and merchandisers deliver relevant content at critical times.

Advance uses cognitive artificial intelligence - a tool that helps users find relevant content, essentially removing the need for tags. It then sequences the delivery of those assets based on deep data analysis and a visitor’s real-time activity in order to automatically deliver the content most relevant to the customer’s inferred goals.

AI-powered algorithms analyze all of your content as well as the clues your customers provide about their intentions and goals, combining both to present the most optimal content. This means that your marketers are free to focus on actually producing the content instead of laboriously tagging it.

"Personalization is now table stakes for marketers, but they're often lacking the tools they need to deliver effective personalized content throughout the digital journey," said James Norwood, chief marketing officer and executive vice president, strategy at Episerver. "With the release of Episerver Advance, we are solving the last and most complex piece of the personalization puzzle and delivering on our promise to help organizations create individualized experiences for their customers and visitors wherever and whenever they engage."

The latest innovation is made possible thanks to Episerver’s recent purchase of AI driven company, Peerius. The launch of Advance completes Episerver's Personalization Suite, which also includes Episerver Personalized Find for AI-based search rankings, Episerver Reach for event-trigger-based messaging – such as personalized email, SMS, and push notifications – Episerver Perform for personalized product recommendations, and Episerver Insight – released last month – for customer journey analysis and visualization.
