This October, NICEF, our charity team, once again joined hands with Operation Smile Vietnam to bring life-changing surgeries and brighter futures to children born with cleft lip and palate.

This isn’t the first time we’ve partnered with Operation Smile. Over the years, we’ve proudly supported their mission to ensure that every child gets the chance to smile confidently and live without pain or stigma. But every time we return, the impact feels just as profound.
For many of these children, living with a cleft lip or palate means facing not only physical pain and health complications but also emotional struggles. Something as simple as eating, speaking, or breathing can be a daily challenge. Many of them grow up being isolated or feeling different, not because of who they are, but because they never had the chance to receive proper treatment.

That’s why the screening day holds such a special meaning. On October 20, our volunteers spent the day helping with patient screenings, identifying children in need of surgery. For many families, this was the first real glimmer of hope after years of hardship. All of the patients came from underprivileged backgrounds. Although every story touched our hearts, we could only sponsor 15 cases this time, with each surgery valued at 10,000,000 VND, totalling 150,000,000 VND.

The surgeries took place from October 21 to 24, and we’re happy to share that all went successfully. Every child came out of the operation with a brighter future ahead and a brand-new smile to show it.

But the journey doesn’t stop there. At Niteco, we believe this is just one chapter in a much bigger story. We’ll continue our efforts to support and save more lives and carry their stories with us. When the time comes, we’ll be back to tell the next chapter.
