Vacation is always one of the signatures in corporate culture. In addition to the minimum full-wage leave policy of at least 12 days per year, companies always want to bring the spirit of refreshment to employees as much as possible by encouraging them to join plenty of collective activities such as traveling. To a tropical country like Vietnam, summer can't be more ideal for the whole company to have a short trip and have fun together.
Of course, Niteco Vietnam is not the exception. The company is applying the famous philosophy of Swedish culture, Lagom, which places emphasis on balance between work and personal life, for instance, a short break during working hour. In addition to bonding and rejuvenating, sightseeing activities are also appreciation from the Board of Directors for the relentless efforts and dedication of the employees throughout the year.
Due to Covid 19 pandemic, the company had to postpone this summer holiday to the end of the year until the situation was basically under control to ensure the safety of all employees. And the destination of Nitecan's 2020 vacation trip is the 5-star Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc hotel.
2020 also coincides with the 10th anniversary of the company's establishment. The anniversary party is usually held separately at the beginning of December every year. But due to the epidemic, the management decided to combine both events in this trip.
December in Phu Quoc paradise island very favorably bestows warm sunshine to tourists when coming here. So summer vacation still makes a lot of sense in this context.

Trip's specific schedule:
Day 1: Employees from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City met, and had a buffet lunch at Vinpearl, then checked in and rested at the Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc hotel, reserving energy for team building activities in the afternoon by the beach.
Day 2: It was time for lunch and to look back on Niteco's decade-long journey in the luxury conference room of Mövenpick Hotel. In the evening, people moved to Hanh Nhung restaurant to enjoy dinner with well-known local specialties.

Day 3: Discovering four islands by canoe in Phu Quoc, the Nitecans had the opportunity to:
- View the panoramic beauty of the beaches from Hon Thom cable, certified by Guinness as the longest cable in the world.
- Marvel at the beauty of pristine beaches and colorful submarine life.
Along with exploring the islands is an all-seafood lunch served on board. For those who are afraid of seasickness, they can choose to stay and relax at the hotel.
Towards the evening was a spectacular GALA night with colorful performances by divisions. The party was held at the beach in front of the hotel with a high-class buffet of European standards.
Day 4: Everyone had breakfast, swimming and relaxation at the hotel. Then checked out, had lunch according to personal preferences before the whole group gathered at the airport to return to Hanoi/HCMC.
What remains after the trip
Four days and three nights was not a long time for the Nitecans to fully explore the beautiful Phu Quoc island. But the journey here must have been saved in the memory of every Niteco member. It was worth $500/person, but surely the teambuilding moments filled with delighted laughter with beloved colleagues, under the bright yellow sunlight and the clear blue sea,... are the precious spirit values of this trip.
