Standing by our clients at their biggest milestones is what Niteco is all about. For Phuong Do, our Tester in the Odin division, one of those milestones took her all the way to Jamaica, where she was invited by the client to support the project's onsite go-live.
The invitation reflected the trust built through a long journey of working together, as well as Phuong's dedication and expertise throughout the project. For her, this was more than a career milestone. It was a rare opportunity to understand the client, the product, and her own work from a much deeper perspective.

Getting Ready For The Trip
When Phuong received the invitation to support the go-live in Jamaica, her first reaction was a mix of surprise and excitement.
“This was the first time a client invited me in person to be part of such an important milestone for the project.”
Along with her work essentials, Phuong also packed a few football jerseys from the project as small gifts for the client. It was a simple way to bring a little of Niteco's spirit and appreciation with her before the onsite days began. 
From New York to Jamaica
Two stops. Two very different impressions.
Phuong had a one-day layover in New York on her way to Jamaica. Even with limited time, the city stood out with its energy, fast pace, and iconic skyline. When she arrived in Jamaica, the atmosphere felt completely different, calmer and more relaxed.
The contrast did not stop at the streets. Once onsite, Phuong discovered a very hands-on side of the client's operations. Her work took her beyond the office and into the factory and warehouse, where she could see different teams working together as part of the daily operation.
For the first time, she was not just testing a product. She was seeing where and how it was being used.
Closer to the Work, Closer to the Customer
Being onsite gave Phuong a closer look at how the client's daily operations actually worked, and how the product fit into that bigger picture. She could see the challenges the client faced, what the product was already doing well, and where there was room to make it even better.
Most importantly, she got to see the real impact of something she had helped build.
“Seeing how happy the client was with a product that ran smoothly and felt easy to use was the biggest reward I brought back from this trip.” 
Building Connections Beyond Work
For Phuong, one of the most valuable parts of being onsite was the human connection. Both the onsite team and the client's team were warm, friendly, and welcoming. She shared: “The schedule was packed and intense, but everyone's support, warmth, and honesty made the work feel so much lighter.”
The connections she made during the trip have stayed with her even after returning home. One of her favorite memories was being invited by the client to a live concert at a stadium, followed by a farewell gathering before the teams flew home. And the best part? The connections did not end when the trip did. 
Local Experiences to Remember
The onsite days often ended late, so Phuong's time outside work was simple: a quick stop at the supermarket, a meal, or a walk through the local streets on her way back to the hotel. Still, those small moments gave her a glimpse into everyday life in Jamaica.
Phuong recalls: “Food and daily habits in Jamaica are quite different from what I'm used to in Vietnam. Fried fish and fried chicken were the closest to my taste, and they were definitely my favorite meals during the trip.”
During her New York layover, Phuong also managed to visit Times Square, Dumbo, and the Statue of Liberty. They may not have been part of the work schedule, but these little experiences became part of what made the trip memorable. 
Phuong’s journey is a great example of what it means to truly stand by our clients: being there when it matters, learning from their world, and building connections that go beyond the project. And for every Nitecan, experiences like these are a chance to grow, see our work from a new perspective, and bring those insights back to the projects we build together.
